Today, I’m showcasing some of my favorite new pieces for summer, among them this Zimmerman maxi skirt. Aside from the fun but neutral paisley pattern—the perfect in-between for minimalist me!—I love the double slits that make it easy to maneuver and sit in.
I’ve already worn it to a few meetings, but the airy fabric makes it just as great for outdoor events like barbecues and picnics. It’s a splurge, but I wanted to treat myself to something special and couldn’t be happier with my choice. In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with the Zimmermann brand. Have you seen their latest swimwear collection? It’s to-die-for.
This ribbed bodysuit is another new obsession. I own it in black and grey. I like that it’s high in the front, so it’s appropriate for work or formal settings with a jacket or sweater worn on top, but it’s low in the back for a bit of sexy edge. This comfortable piece is key for creating instant outfits when I’m in a rush. Try pairing it with high-waisted shorts and flats or boyfriend jeans and pumps. I swear you’ll find yourself reaching for it on the regular like me!
Danielle Nicole’s ‘Emi’ satchel is another summer favorite. The texture and neutral faux snakeskin are gorgeous in person. It comes with an attachable crossbody strap for convenience, and the size is the perfect happy medium for everyday. It fits all my essentials, and at $68, it’s also insanely affordable.
Out from Under ribbed bodysuit (wearing size S), Zimmerman maxi skirt (wearing size 0; affordable similar style here and here), Ray-Ban aviators, Danielle Nicole ‘Emi’ satchel, Steve Madden ‘Sammba’ pumps (same style in leather here; similar style here), Bing Bang spike studs and Madewell ring (similar styles on sale! here, here and here).
I find an athletic cut top—that sort of sports bra-esque shape—super flattering for the arms and shoulders. That’s what drew me to this dress by Shona Joy, an amazing Australian brand known for graphic patterns and architectural lines.
I also loved the speckled fabric and sexy draped skirt. This dress is an airy, comfortable piece that’s become an instant favorite in my closet. It’s currently on sale!, so I couldn’t wait to feature it today.
This dress cinches in the perfect place to accentuate your natural waist. The draped skirt gathering there creates a slimming effect that makes your waistline look extra defined.
Stuart Weitzman’s ‘Nudist’ sandals are a staple—albeit an uncomfortable one—for me. I don’t know how anyone could walk around in them for more than a few minutes! Since these were a splurge, I found a similar pair by Steve Madden that’s much more comfortable at a fraction of the cost!
Shona Joy ‘Remus’ high-neck maxi dress (on sale!; wearing size US2), A.J. Morgan sunnies (similar style here); Halogen clutch (I wear this bag with everything, and it’s currently 40% off!), Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandal (look for less here) and Michele ‘Mini Urban’ watch (look for less here and here; if you like a gold watch, this gorgeous style is 30% off!).
This black vegan leather backpack by Kimchi Blue is a recent find. Its clean aesthetic is exactly what I look for—instant obsession. At only $54, this accessory is minimalist, affordable fashion at its best. Today marks one of my last summer posts with fall fast approaching, but this backpack is a piece you can carry all day every day year-round.
On a similar note, the Charles David flatforms below are another sleek accessory I love. I had to feature them because they’re currently on sale! for only $35.60. They have the same minimalist flare that the backpack does, and they’re more comfortable than the shredded tee you rock on Sundays. How’s that for a steal?
Truly Madly Deeply fitted cropped tank, BDG shorts (similar style here), A.J. Morgan ‘Felix’ matte club master sunnies (only $20!), Mini Tag short necklace, Kimchi Blue backpack, Charles by Charles David ‘Megan’ flatforms (on sale!), and Bing Bang ‘Vivienne’ spike studs and delicate caged ear cuff (finally back in stock!).
