You know when you just got or gave yourself a manicure, go to sleep then wake up rested and ready to tackle the day only to find infuriating wrinkles and dents in your nail polish? I hate that. It’s one of the most annoying beauty blunders, and I used to avoid it by sleeping straight-armed like Frankenstein on top of my sheets. Since most of us don’t have a second to paint our nails until late at night, I decided to search for a solution.
The answer came in the form of Seche Vite’s Dry Fast Topcoat. Seche Vite is known for premiere nail care products, and this is the best topcoat I’ve tried bar none. It’s thick and glossy, proven to penetrate down to the nail bed to create a bond that prevents polish from chipping, and dries to an even, solid finish within a minute or two. Seriously. Count to 100 and you’re good to go.
I haven’t had a nick, bubble or bump in my mani since I started using Seche Vite, and my polish stays put for a full week (I reapply this topcoat after five days for extra shine, and this ritual usually occurs right before I run out the door). Another bonus? Seche Vite is guaranteed not to yellow in the sun, which makes it a summer must-have. I now bring it with me whenever I go to the salon and silently judge manicurists who don’t use it.
I wrote about a nail-saving strengthener Rejuvacote that I use as basecoat here, and the combination of that with this topcoat is unbeatable if you’re trying to grow out strong, long nails. The pairing is like a one-two punch for polish.
