Normally, I avoid green nail polish like the plague, but when I came across this color, I couldn’t pass it up. First, it reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream, my favorite flavor that I’ve been eating at least twice a week because “it’s summer”, and second, I was in the mood to try something bright and new. I immediately plucked this shade from my nail salon’s polish selection (who else gets stressed picking sometimes?) and was thrilled with how it turned out.

CND Vinylux Mint Convertible Review

The color is Mint Convertible by CND Vinylux, that awesome lacquer line I wrote about last year that goes on and comes off like regular polish but lasts much longer. Made by the same company that invented Shellac, Vinylux stands somewhere between normal polish and gel. You get the benefit of having a manicure that won’t chip for 7-10 days, but you can take it off in seconds with acetone remover at home (no more sitting through gel’s sucky soaking process). It’s like magic in a bottle for those of us who love a classic mani that stays put and leaves us with healthier, stronger (not thinner) nails.

With my trusty Rejuvacote as your strengthening base coat and Seche Vite as your glossy top coat, you should be all set. Read about my obsession with both here.

  2. That is so cute… I never would have thought to try a green. I might have to try! Question – did you do the same color for your pedi?
