Aiming to upgrade your wardrobe for fall? Consider investing in a new jacket. Outerwear has an amazing ability to make old outfits feel new and to make simple staples feel fresh and modern. Tossing on a chic jacket is also the clothing equivalent of using kick-ass concealer or dry shampoo: it’s an instant fix to making even the messiest look—grabbing morning coffee in jeans and the ripped tee you wore to bed, anyone?—feel pulled together and polished.
I fell hard for the jacket above a few weeks back when I visited the Topshop flagship in London. The ovoid structure drew me in—who doesn’t love a cozy cocoon coat?—but what sold me was the color. I like when speckled black, white and grey come together to create fabric with lots of depth and texture. The wool that makes up this coat is also incredibly soft, so I had to have it after trying it on (I purchased a size 2 because it’s a bit oversized).
At $156, this piece proves you don’t need to spend a fortune for a closet refresh. I’ve pulled similar styles by Topshop below (their jackets are incredible this season), so be sure to check them out!
I love the texture of a wet look legging, and I wear them constantly in the fall. Whether you dress them up or down, they’re a great staple to built any outfit around. My weekend wardrobe usually consists of some iteration of what you’re seeing above: a chic hoodless sweatshirt with the sleeves pushed up, extremely oversized sunnies, a comfortable chunky boot and a slouchy hat if I didn’t feel like going through the hassle of styling my hair.

For the past year, I’ve been on a quest to find the perfect “blogger bag.” A bag that can fit my daily necessities, my planner, inspiration books and magazines, and most importantly, my MacBook. Backpacks are comfortable and convenient, but I wanted a stylish carry-all that could house everything I need for meetings—something that screams I’m-coming-to-pitch-myself professional chic. The ‘Ronan’ tote below by Sole Society came to the rescue.
This bag looks like a designer gem with great lines, Céline-esque structure and a versatile crossbody strap. I consider it a fierce version of the functional black briefcase. It’s 18 inches wide and 14 inches tall, so my laptop fits with lots of room to spare. I’m chained to my computer wherever I go (an occupational hazard), so this tote is a lifesaver.
I’m able to carry my 15-inch laptop, oversized moleskine planner, an issue of Allure and Sophia Amoruso’s book #GIRLBOSS in the picture above. I could fit double that and then some if need be with no problem.
The ‘Ronan’ is made of vegan leather, so it will only set you back $64.95. Whether you’re a blogger, someone in need of a fashionable work bag or a student who wants to look fab lugging books and binders around campus, click here to check it out! It comes in an adorable cobalt, black and tan combination as well.
