This ‘Lexie’ bag has every ingredient that makes for an essential—an item you can go to without fail when you’re in a rush or don’t know what to wear. The black and nude color combination creates depth but remains neutral, while the parallel zippers add a visual element that takes this classic design towards edgy. This purse is a true hybrid that can adapt to anyone’s personal style. Plus, the proportion is ideal for fitting what you need and avoiding what you don’t.
All-in-all, the ‘Lexie’ is versatile in every way—you can choose between wearing it as a clutch or utilizing the thin crossbody strap—and I think it would be a great holiday staple (or gift to someone who’s impossible to shop for!).

I had to pull my hair back midway through shooting this post because it was so windy my face kept getting covered (#eastcoastbloggerproblems). It was a full-blown Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz dilemma. But, one of my favorite new ways to wear it is in a deep side part with the opposite side pinned behind my ear. I just think it’s a little edgy and interesting. It’s also a great way to show off the Bing Bang delicate ear cuff I can’t seem to stop wearing (it makes it look like I have three cartilage piercings when I want to feel punky).
This grey 525 America sweater is one of my favorite pieces for fall. It’s soft, has the perfect high-low cut and the billowy sleeves are flattering. If you’re searching for a cropped knit to wear all day every day, trust me, this is it.
525 America sweater (same style in black on sale!—I’m wearing a size medium), Zara high-waisted scuba skirt (similar style here), Aerosoles loafer (similar style here), Michael Kors ‘Selma’ studded tote (smaller version here), Bing Bang delicate ear cuff (a must-have in my book!), ‘Vivienne’ spike studs, ‘Wishbone’ ring, ‘Tiny Baguette’ crystal ring and ‘Geometric’ ring set (stacked on my middle finger).
