I partnered with Glamour to show you how to work Revlon’s white makeup look for spring 2013.
Below, the in-book listing from Glamour’s May 2013 issue:
I was staring at my haggard reflection on the subway the other day and realized that I rarely have time to dress up. Coming from the chick who used to schlep her bags wearing 3-inch heels in high school (I still wonder why), I’ve disappointed myself in the fashion department as of late.
With that said, I decide to do it up a bit—quite literally. Like most, I’m loving black and white for spring, but I wanted to add spice with tomato-red trousers. The result? A work-appropriate outfit that could translate to a dinner meeting or night out. With my crazy schedule, comfort is key. These pants are soft and barely wrinkle despite endless subway rides and sitting in meetings.
For those of you who checked out Instagram and messaged me to ask how I created my colossal bun, I’ll let you in on a secret: Theodore Leaf’s Top Knot Kit. He exposed me to this little beauty when he visited Glamour to give our staffers a trim (yes, that occurred in our office). Now, I can’t live without it when I’m in the mood to get my ballerina on.
Bluebird trousers (similar style here—so affordable!), Zara blouse (similar style here), Elizabeth and James T-straps, Rebecca Minkoff Mini M.A.C., vintage chain link necklace, Jennifer Zeuner Theresa necklace and Catbird stacking rings.
Quick wrinkle-related footnote: This is the best steamer ever.
